Meet Tara 🐾
Tara is a beautiful young Dobermann who is just 18 months old. She is a lovely, friendly and playful girl with all the energy, affection and character you would expect from a typical young Dobermann.
Tara adores her people and has been brought up around her family’s three-year-old grandson. A home with children over five years old may be considered, subject to the usual introductions and assessment.
She appears friendly with other dogs and is comfortable meeting new people. Tara has never lived with cats and will chase, so she cannot be rehomed with cats or other small animals.
Tara currently struggles with separation anxiety and will need a patient, understanding home where someone can initially be with her at all times. This will need to be managed gradually and compassionately as she settles and builds confidence. She may benefit from living with a calm, compatible dog for company, although careful introductions would be required.
The ideal outcome for Tara would be a foster home with a view to adoption. This would give her the stability and consistency she needs while allowing her foster family time to get to know her properly and ensure that the placement is the right long-term match.
Tara is not yet spayed. This will either be arranged while she is in foster care or completed by her new owners as part of her adoption agreement, depending on the circumstances.
Her family has made the difficult decision to rehome her because they are no longer able to meet her needs. This decision has not been made lightly, and they want to find her a home where she can thrive.
Tara would benefit from an active, breed-experienced home with the time, patience and commitment to continue her training and help her become the confident, settled young dog she deserves to be.
