Scottish Dobermann Rescue is a registered Scottish charity (SC049197) and is entirely funded by the generosity of our supporters. Every donation — large or small — directly supports the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Dobermanns across Scotland.
Scottish Dobermann Rescue is regulated by OSCR and operates to high standards of transparency and accountability. As an independent charity, we rely on donations from the public to meet the ongoing costs of veterinary treatment, neutering, microchipping, behavioural support, transport and day-to-day care.
Adoption fees contribute towards these expenses, however they rarely cover the true cost per dog. We intentionally keep fees at a responsible and accessible level to ensure suitable homes are not discouraged.
We run regular fundraising campaigns, primarily through Facebook, and are incredibly grateful to supporters who donate items for raffles and auctions. From time to time, we attend local events to raise funds and awareness — announcements are shared via our social media channels.

Every contribution directly benefits the dogs in our care and helps us continue our work across Scotland and in collaboration with other breed rescues throughout the UK.

The largest ongoing expense for Scottish Dobermann Rescue is kennel boarding. Even at a generously discounted rate of £70 per week, per dog, costs quickly add up — particularly when we may have multiple Dobermanns in kennels at any one time while they are assessed and awaiting foster or permanent homes.
In addition to boarding, we cover veterinary treatment, neutering, microchipping, behavioural support, professional training where required, food and everyday care. Our priority is always to ensure each dog is physically and emotionally prepared for long-term success in their new home.
Regular monthly donations are especially valuable, as they allow us to plan responsibly, manage cash flow and respond quickly when a Dobermann needs urgent help.
