:

Sharon is a lovely spayed female, still young and loopy. She has a high prey drive and a lot of energy. She is a very nervous and anxious girl and isn't coping very well with all the recent changes. We're in the process of putting her into a suitable training schedule with a professional trainer and also consulting with a vet to sort out some pain related concerns and we're hoping that medication will help her initial anxieties to encourage focus and learning.

Sharon suffers from separation anxiety so will need to have plans in place to ensure she's always got someone at home for her.

We believe that a home with other dogs and older dog savvy children could be suitable. Her fosterer is working hard to help with her basic needs and is starting her onto foundation training which will need to continue in her new forever home. She doesn't like being left alone or shut in, she's extremely energetic and needs an active home where her mental and physical needs can be met.

It sounds like she would benefit someone who has experience training big excitable dogs as even though she is super sweet and loving she is a big girl who sometimes forgets her size. She is very jumpy and needs trained not to use you as a springboard when she gets excited.

In typical Velcro-dog style, she never leaves your side but does need some extra training with walking quietly on the lead. Currently she is a bit of a nightmare to walk as she pulls like a train and zig-zags all over the place. She is sometimes reactive when on a lead towards other animals and strangers. She's a very clever girl, training is relatively easy IF you can keep her attention.

She is extremely intelligent but not having this properly channelled has created a few behaviours to consider... She can open doors, she's persistent and tiring when not allowed to do something, she can jump on top of tables etc could easily jump over short fences, she can climb.

She will make someone the best dog she just needs a little extra guidance.
