Scottish Dobermann Rescue is fully reliant on the help and donations of our supporters and followers to operate. Below you can find out about our various donation options.
We are a fully registered charity overseen by OSCR the Scottish Charities register. We rely on donations from the public in order to keep our charity running. We charge adoption fees but even that doesn’t always cover costs on a per dog basis, as we’re so thankful that people are willing to rehome our dogs, we want keep the costs affordable to our adopters.
We run regular fundraising campaigns, primarily on facebook, if you can participate in these that really helps. We always are looking for donated items that we can put into raffles and competitions in order to raise money for the charity. We also occasionally attend in-person events and have a stall to raise money and awareness for the charity, keep an eye on facebook for announcements.
Any help that you could provide to the charity, whether that is financial donations, volunteering your time, fostering or adopting one of our dogs or just your public support all help and we greatly appreciate anything that you can do for us. Our main mission is to help the Dobermann breed within Scotland and work with our other breed rescue friends across the whole of the UK.
We also accept donations through PayPal – paypal.me/scottishdoberescue

Our biggest expenses every month are kennels, it costs us £70 per week, per dog to cover boarding fees and thats with a preferential rate that our wonderful kennels support us with. Its common for us to have up to 4 dogs in kennels at a time and unfortunately it takes time for us to assess and find fosterers and adopters for our dogs.
We also need to pay for vet bills, food, general dog supplies and occasionally professional dog trainers to help set our dogs up for success in their new life. Any donations that you can provide really help us out, especially if you can make it a regular donation on a monthly basis. This really helps us plan our cashflow and help more Dobermanns.
